Acne Vitamins

There are several acne vitamin formulas out there. These typically contain such known acne fighting ingredients as Vitamin B6, Vitamin C, omega-3 fatty acids, zinc and others. Many people find these acne vitamins and acne fighting supplements are a great compliment to their other acne treatment regimens.

Though there has been some indication that these vitamins can assist the body in healing acne as well as preventing future breakouts, I feel that most of these so-called acne vitamin formulas are more about making a buck than adding any truly beneficial and known effective treatment options.

First of all, if you're interested in adding these nutrients to your diet as a type of best odds approach to good skin health, you'd do better to incorporate foods that are naturally rich in these nutrients than to ingest condensed and synthetic versions of these same nutrients. It has been shown that far more vitamin tablets are passed undigested than are broken down and incorporated into the body.

There are several other ways with which to increase your body's ability to combat acne and associate breakouts. For example, throwing out all of your special commercially prepared acne products may be a great way to start making an improvement in the health of your skin.

The problem with most commercially prepared acne treatments is that they contain synthetic ingredients that only serve to dry or otherwise exacerbate the underlying causes of acne. Though these products may work, even stunningly, from application to application, they do very little for the underlying factors responsible for your acne and associated breakout discomfort.

One of the best things you can do for acne is to increase the amount of water that you intake daily. For men, a good amount of hydration to shoot for each day is to take in about 3 liters or quarts of water. For women, the optimal amount is 2 liters or quarts of water daily.

Instead of trying another commercial acne product, try using a very simple soap such as glycerine or borax to cleanse the affected area twice daily. For extra oil, up to three cleansings a day can be performed. Cleansing more often than this may cause excess oil to be produced.

Try spot treating blemishes with lavender essential oil. Be warned, this can cause a slight stinging sensation at first. This is quickly replaced with a pleasant warmth and numb sensation. Lavender essential oil has all kinds of powerful antibacterial properties that make it a super skin supporting essential oil. This essential oil can be applied directly (undiluted) to even very irritated or broken skin for greatly sped healing.

Before adding another acne vitamins formula or other products to your skin care regimen, try following a simple program like the one mentioned here. Chances are you won't need any addition products once the body is allowed to heal itself and is not busy processing the toxins and synthetic ingredients of the so-called acne products you may have been using.
